Lone Gooch, LMFT

Lone (pronounced "Loona") Gooch has been a Marriage and Family Therapist since 1989, working in various community mental health settings in both California and Kentucky. She has worked for Bluegrass (Comprehensive Care Center) for the past 23 years, specializing in helping individuals (adults and adolescents), couples, and families improve themselves and their relationships and overall ability to create a healthier, happier, and more balanced life.

Lone graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz, in 1985 with a B.A. in Psychology. She obtained her M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Santa Clara University in 1989. Lone received training and supervision at the Mental Research Institute of Palo Alto, California, one of the leading sources of ideas in the area of interactional/systemic studies, psychotherapy, and family therapy. She is a Board Approved Supervisor and provides clinical supervision to MFT associates working toward independent licensure.

She has taught classes at Bluegrass in ethics/KY Law, clinical supervision, and preventing burnout for clinicians. Lone is an Autonomous Batterer Intervention Provider and has specialized training in this area. Her professional approach integrates key elements of structural family therapy and attachment theory.
