Individual Therapy Sessions

Face-to-Face or Online

Individual therapy involves the therapist and client working together collaboratively on your treatment plan and therapeutic goals. The therapist assesses your symptoms and provides you with treatment options. Our clinicians are prepared to help you solve problems, develop insight into your life situations, learn how to better cope and respond to difficult situations, improve communications with others, and learn new skills to promote healthy thinking and emotional wellness.

Online therapy has been proven as efficient as regular face-to-face sessions. We use online therapy to complement our in-office sessions. It is also an alternative way to help clients who are unable to attend in-office sessions. Our online therapy sessions use secure HIPAA compliant technology provided through the Cognitive Therapy Mindfulness Center patient portal. Online individual therapy sessions are available only after the Initial Evaluation and risk assessment. Please note that online counseling is not to be used for crises or emergencies.

Meditation Sessions with a Certified Teacher

Meditation is simply a practice that involves training the mind to slow down and nonjudgmentally observe thoughts. It has been practiced for thousands of years and is an evidenced-based technique that, when implemented regularly, has the ability to achieve both mental and physical changes within the body. These changes include but are not limited to mental clarity, relaxation, heightened awareness, lowered blood pressure, and improved heart rate.

One-on-one meditation allows Morgan to get to know her students, their unique experiences, and cater the meditation toward their specific needs. We will periodically discuss what benefits they are experiencing and ways to create more space for these benefits to flow into different parts of their life.

Our Therapy Options

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Therapy (CT) honors the power of thinking. Our thinking creates and sustains ways of being in the world, with ourselves, and with others. We provide the space and support you need to author your own life and solve problems. We link thought and action with a holistic approach that embraces the mind, body, and spirit.

Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy

Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy combines the non-judgmental attention to the present moment with the ability of being self-aware. It is the practice of slowing life down while acknowledging  what is going on in your life. In simple terms, it combines Mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

DBT is another evidence based therapy option that will assist one in improving the ability to regulate emotions and develop meaningful relationships in their life.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)

ART works to directly reprogram how you feel about a traumatic memory and replace your brain's distressing feelings using eye movement, so you no longer are triggered by your memories of the event.
