Dara Davis, LPC

Dara is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. She earned her B.A in Psychology with a minor in Veteran Studies from Eastern Kentucky University. She was a member of 2 honor societies, including PSI CHI and Omega Nu Lambda. She then received her M.E in Counseling and Human Development.

Dara has been working with an array of clients, including grade schoolers, teens, young adults, and adults in an individual setting. She utilizes evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Applied Behavioral Analysis, Bibliotherapy, and Play therapy with her clients, giving them the tools to reach wellness and balance in life. Those interventions are effective in treating a variety of symptoms, including Anxiety, Depression, Adjustment Disorder, Autism, ADHD, Grief, and other life transitions and life challenges.

Dara works well with children and young adults, giving them a safe, fun, and comfortable  environment to freely express themselves without judgment and extending patience and compassion to all her clients. Dara believes that everyone deserves to achieve happiness and to be aware and in control of their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

Dara is a cancer survivor and has an insight into how a medical diagnosis can affect one's life. She also loves her cat, traveling, and finding cool new places to eat!
