Child/Adolescent and Family Therapy
ADHD Specialist
Megan Farrar, LPCA
Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure where to turn? You’re not alone and you don’t have to figure it all out by yourself. Whether you're navigating ADHD, anxiety, life transitions, or the weight of self-doubt, therapy can be a powerful step forward.
My name is Megan Farrar and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) based in Lexington, Kentucky. I specialize in supporting children, teens, and adults, particularly those with ADHD who often feel misunderstood, scattered, or “too much.” With advanced training in ADHD-informed care, I help clients better understand their brains, strengthen emotional regulation, increase levels of motivation, and build systems that support real, sustainable change.
As a trained and certified Gestalt Play Therapist, Child-Centered Play Therapist, and Trauma-Focused CBT practitioner, Megan brings extensive experience to her work. Her approach is collaborative and creative, rooted in evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and expressive modalities such as art, journaling, and play. Together, you’ll uncover what’s getting in the way and build tools to help you feel more grounded, confident, and in control. In addition, Megan is also the co-founder of our new Health Anxiety Community Support Group—an online space dedicated to helping individuals navigate health-related worries together.
I offer a space that honors all identities and experiences, where radical acceptance is the foundation. Whether you’re seeking clarity, growth, or simply a safe place to land, I’m here to walk alongside you. I believe therapy can be a space that feels just as real and supportive as the life you’re trying to build.
Outside of therapy, you can find me thrifting, playing video games, or spending time with my Corgi, Sage, and cat, Oyo.
